NASA astronaut Anil Menon and ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot will install a Space-to-Ground antenna on the orbital complex. The antenna is a critical communication system NASA uses to transmit data and high‑speed communication between the Mission Control Center in Houston and the space station. The astronauts also will replace a retroreflector used for spacecraft docking on the Harmony module’s forward port.

NASA astronaut Anil Menon and ESA (European Space Agency) flight engineer Sophie Adenot will begin a spacewalk at 8:35 a.m. EDT (1235 UTC). The pair will finish installing a high-speed communications antenna on the International Space Station; Menon and Adenot began the work on Aug. 18, 2026.
Menon will serve as spacewalk crew member 1 and will wear a suit with red stripes. Adenot will serve as crew member 2 and will wear an unmarked suit.
